Considering that we are coming into the last quarter of 2019, here are some of the main events happening in Downtown Orlando in December. Orlando Magic vs Golden State WarriorsDate: 1-12-19
What better way to kick of December than with an NBA playoff match between home favorites, Orlando Magic and visitors, Golden State Warriors. The game will take place at the Amway Center located on 400 W Church Street. Make it a point to get yourself tickets to see if Steve Clifford and his men can win one for the home crowd over Steve Kerr and his men. Simply put, it’s going to be the Battle of the Steves. Orlando Farmer’s Market & Downtown Orlando Indoor Farmers MarketDate: 1-12-19
For all those nature lovers out there, this event should not be missed. While the Orlando Farmers Market is held in Lake Eola Park, the Indoor Farmers Market will be held in Celine Orlando. Everything related to Mother Earth will be on display and ready to be bought. From fresh produce to handmade handicrafts, there is something here for everyone. And for those who might not be able to make it to Orlando in December, no worries, for this held throughout the year. Filled with music and nature’s beauty, this event is a breath of fresh air (literally).
2019 Tree Lighting CelebrationDate: 6-12-19
Tree Lighting Celebrations have been around and are not unique to Orlando. With that being said, the annual Tree Lighting Celebration that is held at Lake Eola Park is an event that should not be missed. With a large turnout each year and a happy festive mood throughout, come be part of the celebration of welcoming the month of Christmas with the lighting of the 72-foot tree. Live music, splendid food, and friendly faces are what you should be expecting at this event, so come prepared to receive.
OUC Orlando Half-Marathon and 5KDate: 7-12-19
Put on your running shoes and get ready for the annual OUC Orlando Half-Marathon and 5K. This event is also held at Lake Eola Park and will involve 5000 runners racing through beautiful and serene Downtown Orlando. Become a part of this community if you do fancy a good run filled with live music throughout. The event is held from 6 am to 10 am. Winners will take home, prizes and awards so give it a shot if you are in Orlando around that time.
Orlando Magic vs Los Angeles LakersDate: 11-12-19
Another home game for Orlando Magic as they take on Los Angeles Lakers. This game will also be held at the Amway Center and is expected to be an amazing match considering the teams going up against each other. Frank Vogel and his team will be looking to spoil the party at Orlando with a win but Steve Clifford has no plans on letting his home fans down. It’s going to be an interesting match with a hopefully, nail-biting finish for the crowd.
Lindsey StirlingDate: 19-12-19
Lindsey Stirling, the 33-year-old violinist, dancer, singer, and songwriter will be on her third Christmas tour this year. The artist will be performing at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center as part of her Warmer in the Winter 2019 Tour. With millions of followers on YouTube, Lindsey Stirling has revolutionized the music industry and the show set to be held in Bob Carr Performing Arts Center is going to be a treat for everyone present. Make sure you get your tickets before it gets sold out. This is one of the most exciting events to be held in December before the New Year rings in.
O Holy NightDate: 24-12-19
Enjoy the Beautiful Music Chamber Orchestra and Cathedral Choir as they sing their hearts out on Christmas Eve. Join them at the Cathedral Church of St.Luke for a wonderful experience. The event also includes a performance from the world-renowned 2 Cellos. This will be followed by Midnight Mass that commences at 11:00. Ring in Christmas with beautiful music and a loving community in Downtown Orlando.
